T34 vs Tiger
Published on November 4, 2008 By kymsheba In Stardock Support General

Hi guys,

I just got my copy of T34 vs Tiger this morning downloaded through Impulse everything went fine no problems with installing Impulse or downloading of game.

I played game all day today for about 15 hours straight with no problems until all of a sudden it started to crash for no reason i did not install anything since installing T34 v Tiger it just started crashing.

No problem i thought i would just reinstall game and see if that fixes everything...so i uninstalled T34 v Tiger and went back into impulse to install again to find to my horror that i have to download all 797 MB again ...OMG...

my question is do i have to download everytime i may need to reinstall game? I seen a post about archiving and was wondering do i need to archive after i have downloaded game and if so will i be able to reinstall in future by archive instead of downloading again???

Can someone please tell me how to get a copy of my download onto my hard drive so i dont need to download everytime ... there must be a way of having the install on computer stored away nice and safely with all my other games i have bought online.

cheers,

kymsheba (mike)

After you install the game, right click on it in Impulse andchoose archive.  You can then copy that file wherever you want or burn it to CD or whatever.  Then, if you want to restore it, click on the blue orb and chose "Restore Archive"

As just a side note you will need Impulse to restore archives. So should you reinstall Windows you will need to install Impulse and then move the archive to the computer from whatever media you stored it on.

Hi ZUBAZ & SEABASS,

Thanks for the quick replies it was a big relief that i would not have to download 797MB every time i may need to reinstall.

I knew there had to be a easy way of doing it that i was overlooking, i didnt even know there was a menu on the blue orb, i must have missed that thanks for pointing me in the right direction much appreciated.

No worries at all. Please note that when installing Impulse you have to be connected to the internet for the initial set up. After that you can use it fine in offline mode.
